Mckenzie

Mckenzie

Mckenzie has been working in the dental industry for almost three years. She started out in general dentistry, where she built a solid foundation in patient care and clinical experience. Over time, She transitioned into periodontics to further develop her skills and broaden her understanding of the dental field. She is always looking to learn and grow within the profession.

Outside of work, She enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with her dog Mila and my family. Mckenzie also likes being outdoors, trying new restaurants, and winding down with a good movie or documentary.

Shylo has 10 years of experience in the dental industry and is passionate about helping people achieve healthy, beautiful smiles. She truly enjoys getting to know each patient and working together to create a positive, comfortable experience every step of the way.

Outside the office, she stays busy with her two energetic dogs and loves spending time outdoors—especially camping with her husband. She is also a proud grandparent and cherishes every moment she gets to spend with her two wonderful grandkids.

Andrew Nordlie, DDS

Andrew Nordlie, DDS

Dr. Andrew Nordlie is passionate about helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles through personalized periodontal care. A Pacific Northwest native and one of eight siblings, Dr. Nordlie comes from a family of dentists—including his father and two brothers.

His interest in periodontics began in 2016 after shadowing Dr. Tom Kang and Dr. Kevin Suzuki. Now, he’s proud to work alongside them. He earned his undergraduate degree from Pacific Lutheran University and his DDS and MSD in periodontics from the University of Washington.

Dr. Nordlie offers comprehensive periodontal services, including gum disease treatment, dental implants, and cosmetic procedures. He enjoys building relationships with patients and creating personalized treatment plans that lead to lasting, confident smiles.

Outside of work, Dr. Nordlie loves hiking, skiing, and spending time with his wife, family, and friends.

Jessica Hsu, DDS

Jessica Hsu, DDS

Her father has multiple dental implants and absolutely loves them. This joy led to him introducing his dentist to his daughter, Dr. Hsu, while she was still in college and in search of her career path at the University of California, San Diego. There, she achieved her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Cell Biology with fields of focus in economics and Chinese while graduating Magna Cum Laude with Provost Honors. Dr. Hsu furthered her education, earning a degree in Dental Surgery from Columbia University in NYC. After completion of dental school, Dr. Hsu attended University of Washington where she obtained her specialty certificate in Periodontology and Dental Implantology whereas she defended her thesis in mucosal immunity to achieve a Master of Science in Dentistry. Dr. Hsu is an elected member of the Academy of Osseointegration, American Academy of Periodontology, and is recognized as The Top Periodontist in Bellevue Washington by Women in Medicine, July 2020.

Jenna Cha, DDS MS

Jenna Cha, DDS MS

She finished her Bachelor of Sciences degree in Biological Sciences, cum laude, at the University of the Pacific in 3 years and then went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with Honors at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni, School of Dentistry in San Francisco, California. She fell in love with periodontal surgery as she was shadowing her mother's periodontist while in dental school. Being the only applicant for periodontics residency in her class, she managed to do multiple periodontal surgeries in a dental school clinic before entering her residency.

Dr. Cha then completed an advanced specialty training program in Periodontics and Dental Implant Surgery at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) School of Dentistry in Portland, Oregon. She was a recipient of the Best Resident Research Award at OHSU.

Julianna Shamoon, DMD

Julianna P. Shamoon DMD was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. Her parents moved to the United States nearly 50 years ago, and their dedication to achieving the American Dream allowed Dr. Shamoon to realize her own aspirations—finding a career that allows for professional and academic excellence, challenges the status quo through research and technology, and, most importantly, remains steadfast in its commitment to helping others.

Dr. Shamoon decided to pursue a career with Puget Sound Periodontics after attending a conference led by Dr. Kevin Suzuki. His message of patient-centered therapies that improved periodontal success and comfort resonated with Dr. Shamoon. Her resolve to pursue a career with PSP was further reinforced when she met Dr. Thomas Kang, whose energetic and personable nature, combined with impeccable surgical expertise, solidified her decision.

Dr. Kang attended the University of Washington for his Bachelor of Science Degree. Upon graduation he was accepted to the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry for his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Following graduation he was one of two applicants accepted into the Graduate Periodontal and Implant Specialty program at the University of Pittsburgh, School of Medicine.

As the founder of Puget Sound Periodontics he has overseen the growth of the practice from a small start up into the premier destination for periodontics and implant dentistry on the west coast.

Dr. Kang provides education in several local dental study clubs and participates in meetings throughout the nation, lecturing on advanced implant technologies including Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing of Medical Devices.

Kevin Suzuki, DMD MS

Kevin Suzuki, DMD MS

Dr. Suzuki graduated with his DMD from Nova Southeastern University, Ft. Lauderdale, FL. He completed a 3-year surgical residency in Periodontics and Oral Implantology at Temple University, Philadelphia, PA, where he also earned his Masters of Science degree. Dr. Suzuki trained under the tutelage of world renowned mentors Professor Carl E. Misch, Director of Oral Implantology and Professor Jon B. Suzuki, Chairman and Graduate Program Director. He has published research in bone grafting for implant site development conducted at the Primate Research Institute (CEMIC), Buenos Aires, Argentina.
