Federal Way Business Team
Michelle is the first person you meet when you walk in the door and the friendly voice on the other end of the phone when you call. She coordinates insurance benefits, presents treatment plans, and schedules appointments. She is closely involved with patients from the moment they enter the office, and strives to make sure everyone is well cared for and prepared for their next visit. Michelle has a son named Jordan and a dog named Bentley. She lives an active life by doing Hot Yoga and fitness boot camp. Michelle has worked with Dr. Kang since 2006.
Brook is one of our fantastic Appointment Coordinators. She creates a friendly and calming atmosphere at work every day, and prides herself on her attention to each patient she serves. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, bowling, and spending time with her dog.
Bernie is our hygiene scheduling coordinator and is in charge of ensuring patients receive timely care, checking patients in and out, and following up with patients after appointments. She loves meeting new people and is excited to learn about every patient who comes in. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and being active in her church. Bernie has worked with Dr. Kang since 2010.
Angie is the Korean patient treatment coordinator in our practice. She is a career business woman; she previously owned and operated hotels and restaurants in Ellensburg and Bremerton, Washington. Being a business owner has given her great insight into customer service and making our patients feel like "part of the family." She enjoys her second career because of the opportunities she has to help people. Angie has worked with Dr. Kang since 2007.
West Seattle Business Team
Mary joins our practice with five years of dental front office experience. Her warm smile and friendly personality greet you each time you call Puget Sound Periodontics. In her words, "my favorite part of being part of Puget Sound Periodontics family is the welcoming atmosphere of the office and the warmth which we choose to provide care to our patients." In her free time Mary enjoys spending time with her dogs Chief and Chewy as well as attending concerts, snowboarding and traveling.
As the New Patient Appointment Coordinator, Kirsten is the voice you will most likely hear first when you call to schedule an appointment. Whether you are a new patient or an existing patient of record Kirsten is here to help. While scheduling a dental appointment isn't always fun, she tries to be. Her passion is in customer care and creating a welcoming environment for all our patients. She has been working in various medical fields over the last 5 years and is excited to have found a home with Puget Sound Periodontics.
Eastlake Business Team
Kelly brings a strong background in customer service to the Puget Sound Periodontics family. She has excelled in working with people in many different areas of finance over the last decade. Her goal is to guide you through difficult decisions helping you to make the best choices. It is important to her that all patients will be fully informed and confident that they will receive the best treatment possible. She genuinely enjoys helping others make a positive change in their lives.
Nichole is a experienced dental professional that recently joined our practice after serving as the lead dental assistant for Dr. Lloyd Tucker. Nichole will be working as an appointment coordinator in our practice and will be happy to help any clinical or administrative question you may have for her.
Andrea has been working with Dr. Kang since 2006 and has assisted over 5,000 surgical procedures. She is an excellent resource with over 15 years of in office experience as a lead assistant. Andrea is a huge Seahawks fan and supporter of local animal shelters and charities.
Cherise is Dr. Kang's primary surgical assistant. She has been OSHA and CPR certified and provides assistance in all phases of patient treatment. She joined Dr. Kang at the inception of the practice and has witnessed first hand many patient transformations take place in the office. "I have a wonderful job where I get to meet and work with interesting people and help them achieve their goals for treatment." Cherise and her husband, John, have a daughter named Mia. She enjoys spending her free time riding bikes, playing board games with her family, and playing volleyball. Cherise has been with Dr. Kang since 2006.
Joseph is a aspiring dentist and proud member of the Puget Sound Periodontics family. He primarily works as a dental assistant with Dr. Suzuki and Dr. Liu. In his free time Joseph enjoys spending time with his wife and seven year old son. When not furthering his education Joseph can be found coaching a youth basketball team as well as playing on the court himself.
Jordyn recently graduated from the dental assisting program at Lake Washington Technical College. She is proud to be a Registered Dental Assistant and is continuing her education by working towards her AA. Jordyn is originally from Washington and in her free time she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, hiking, and exploring the outdoors
I have been working in Dentistry for 20 years, both as a general and surgical assistant and office manager. I am originally from Los Angeles, California, moved to Issaquah, Washington in 1990. I graduated from Tidewater Technical College, Dental Assisting program in Norfolk, Virginia. My education enabled me to be cross-trained for both clinical assisting and front office. My major motivation for continuing to pursue this career is getting to know our patients, seeing them smile, knowing we are providing excellent oral health care for them

Chad Melton recently rejoined Puget Sound Periodontics following a two year hiatus to complete his certificate program in Dental Hygiene. Prior to becoming a Dental Hygienist Chad was a clinical assistant for Dr. Kang and Dr. Suzuki for a period of four years. He lives with his wife Kelli and their two children.
Kirsten is one of our dental hygienists. She was one of twenty candidates that Dr. Kang interviewed before selecting her to join our periodontal team. Kirsten was the valedictorian of her dental hygiene baccalaureate program and was awarded the "Golden Scaler" award for being the top clinical student in her graduation class. She enjoys teaching patients proper oral care and helping them get over their phobias. It is amazing to see a formerly nervous patient become comfortable and happy about their visit. Kirsten enjoys spending time with her husband, Paul, traveling, gardening, and participating in church activities. Kirsten has worked for Dr. Kang since 2008.
Carrie is new to the Puget Sound Periodontics's team. She was born and raised on a potato farm in Jerome, ID and showed dairy cows for 10 years to help pay for college. She graduated from Oregon Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene and played basketball there for 4 years. Carrie is married to her husband, Cory, and they have a baby boy. She loves being outside with her two dogs, spending time with friends and family, and is addicted to HGTV.
Justin is the Northwest Territory representative for Nobel Biocare. He is one of three members of the Nobel Biocare family that are primarily responsible to provide Puget Sound Periodontics and their referral offices first class customer service and industry leading products. Dr. Kang is the most prolific member of Nobel Biocare's northwest team of dental implant surgeons. As a result, his Diamond status provides his patients and referral doctors with superior customer service, pricing, and support in all manner of dental implant related treatment and education. "I take great pride in working with industry leading doctors like Dr. Kang and Dr. Suzuki; I've referred my own friends and family to them."
