In 1976 he returned to the United States and shortly thereafter Dr. Kang was born at Scott and White Hospital.
Yong and Angie relocated their family to Issaquah, Washington in 1980, where Dr. Kang and his brother, Scott, both attended Issaquah High School. Following graduation, Dr. Kang attended the University of Washington for his Bachelor of Science Degree.
